Murdoch's was easy to book with, understandable when I had to make a change to my service 48hrs out and super friendly in person. Great personalities on the phone and in person, professional service and you tell the people enjoy working together with little jokes being shared amongst them. Thanks for the seasonal tire change.
I was going out of town and had a low tire because of a nail in the tread. I went to Murdoch's thinking that they would just spend a few minutes and fix it. I was told they were too busy and maybe tomorrow. I went to Canadian Tire and they brought it in right away and had it fixed in 5 minutes and no charge!
I've been taking my car into Murdoch's for about 12 years now and have always been impressed. This week, it was in for a couple of mystery noises prior to new winter tire installation. Mechanic Andy found an issue with the transmission. He went above and beyond to research the issue with Honda, and he suggested to try the simplest (and least expensive) option first, which seems to have done the trick! Special thanks to Andy, Cindy, the Murdochs and their staff. Because of their experience and knowledge, I'm able to keep my old car on the road and going strong.
All the below. So everyone knows the type of people Don and Mike are. They made one of their mechanics safety this thing. Now that innocent guy is going to get criminally charged. Is this where you’d bring your vehicle……. I’ve never ever dealt with worse people. I bought a car off Kijiji. They had it fully certified at this hole. I drove car for half hour and it stopped in middle of highway. I brought it to a real mechanic garage that I know of. They stated to be properly certified this vehicle Murdochs Tire and Auto certified would need new shock and struts mounts, bearings, new drivers side mirror that was shattered. A new radiator, as that’s why it died by over heating in highway. All coolant lines need to be replaced. The passenger door don’t open from inside or outside, the trunk hatch don’t open. The exhaust and muffler have quarter size holes all over them. I called and spoke with Mike, the apparent son-in-law or Don Murdoch the owner. I told him I’m a single Dad, so I had to find a car certified. He said that car was never supposed to be sold. It was given to a family that just came to Canada and a guy that’s friends of Don Kurdoch, just said get in on the road so they can just get around town for a while? So, Don Murdoch, Mike and some Mechanic they have let this disaster go certified on the road to jeopardize the last guys safety, my safety and the general public’s safety. Disgusting that it’s very possible Don Murdoch has been doing this for 65!!!!!!! Years!!!!!!! Now my little girl and I are out around $7000. I contacted MTO. They’re going to see this junk Murdochs Tire and Automotive let on the road. He told me if it’s the way my garage said. Than Murdochs will be shut down for a while, given heavy fines possibly, maybe even criminal charges. SO TO ALL THAT READ THIS. If Murdochs is closed for a while, you’ll know why. What makes it worse is when I first spoke with Mike. He told me to go get a rental and get my car to my trusted shop. He’d pay for our rental and he’d pay to have this car properly certified, or give my money back if that’s to much, if I agree, to go do it. So, I did all that. Mike didn’t contact me back for over a week. So, then I called the garage itself, as Mike gave me his cell number. I couldn’t reach him so Don Murdoch answered. I’ve now been in a rental for almost 6 weeks plus the $4000 I wasted buying vehicle and having it towed everywhere. So, my little girl and I, as me being a single Dad are now out over $7000. Thank you so much Don and Mike for ruining so much for my little girl and I. I SURE HOPE YOUR FINES ARE COMING AND YOUR CLOSED DOWN FOR A WHILE, AS YOU BOTH DESERVE IT…
been using Murdochs a long time just not worth the money anymore brought tire in off the car with a nail in it asked how much to repair 33.99 last year was 29.00 I get things go up takes you 2 minutes and what's a plug worth seriously( greedy ) usually what happens with new ownership brought to Canadian tire they did it for free gave them a nice tip(did not expect it for free was pleasant surprise) just an update got another flat lol went straight to Canadian tire so instead of Murdochs making 60 bucks repairing two tires they made zero
Murdoch’s Tire & Automotive is a great place for your tire and wheel need’s, as well for automotive repairs. They are a family run business, and all the staff there are amazing. They all treat me like I’m part of the family too. Absolutely great place. Thank you for all your hard work over the years, and many more years to come.
Every friendly business☺ Every helpful when i was buying tires and they looked around for me for the best sale on tires☺ My experience was great and if i need tires again i will go back to see them and i have told family and friends about them too☺
